Can anyone give me a link to an online ASVAB practice test that will give me an idea of what I will be challenged with, and an indicaton of how well I might do on a real one?
Thanks, tried googling, just found a lot of questionable $30 practice ASVAB's.

I think i'd buy a book before i'd buy a online test....but as hicks says your recruiter should be able to hood you up. I know you can retake the test after you come in the Army for more potential points...most say this test is easier than the original.

Those two websites will give you a tiny idea of what the questions might look like. Military.com supposedly has a full length practice test, it's free to sign up.

Thanks to all, just as a side note, military.com's ASVAB has dodgy html coding and returns you to their homepage one or two pages into the test. I should have said so in my first post. BTW, I actually found a helpful recruiter near my dad's old home town, works out well because if I fly out and use him I can stay with an aunt and uncle until I am put on the bus. This guy was top notch and took the time to answer quite a few questions. He has a guy from Scotland who he is enlisting, so he is familiar with the difficulties I am encountering being in Australia.
Sorry to say this, but the two other recruiters I spoke to, apart from being unhelpful, had made SSG or SFC without being able to string five words together in a comprehensible sentence. This is the Army's first point of contact with many prospective recruits, I think it gives a bad impression.
