I'm a 92Y in the reserves. I like my MOS. Not only can I do the duties of supply but also that of an armor. Right now I'm slotted as my unit's armorer. It is alot of work but It's not worked to death. A brnifit I like about being a 92Y is everybody has them so if I want to move to another area I don't have to look for a specific type of unit. EX: engineer units, MP units, civil affairs, etc etc... They all have a need for supply people.

Actually I take back the Laundry Specialists....They are quartermaster companies but they do not specialize in laundry, one of them is a company of fuelers and I'm not sure what the other one is right now.
Yep but we have two companies/detachments of firefighters in our Battalion that run Fort Campbell's firestations. So I'm pretty sure there's more of them in the Army. Still though, I'd imagine its a hard job to get considering these detachments have maybe 15 people each in them. They get supported by DA civilians as well. Plus they probably only have AIT for that MOS once every blue moon.

This also becomes a problem if you ever move out of state. The Army Reserve is the same everywhere. The Texas guard is completely different from the Florida guard. Each state has different benefits, different regulations, it's a different Army all together. If you move to Alaska, Maine may still expect you to still fly out once a month for drill. I've never seen a Reserve commander having a problem approving a transfer.

Thank you very much, I think you have just converted a girl here. I'm sure I should ask around to confirm that what you said up there is accurate, but I'm guessing people on the boards would have something to say if it were not...

Just came back from MEPS, and didn't enlist because I'm waiting on a waiver for my bad eyesight (OH NO Frowner )

Had a fantastic time down there, at the hotel with all the other applicants and soldiers shipping out to other countries. I'm going to miss everybody :P

And I learned a lot just by reading a sample contract... Sheesh!

Edit: Oh yeah! I got a 76 on my AFQT (Did I write that acronym correctly?)
My lowest score was 48 for word knowledge which makes sense since I've only been in the USA for 3 years... so I guess it's expected that my english isn't as great... I wish I did better but it's difficult to get time to study for the ASVAB. Maybe next time.
