Anyone know what it is? I got a buddy at Knox right now, and I just got a letter saying that the Army is putting in the new PT Test in April for basic training.

Im not sure that there is a new pt test, however, they will be implementing a new pt regimen that is MOS based, whatever that means. Saw it on the cover of Army Times, but did not pick up the issue.

I don't know where or when they are implementing a new PT Test/Program but I have heard that FM 21-20 is being revised and new exercises are being added. Hopefully I will be able to get back to you after they send out the new FM. If they have it out already... please let me know so I can go yell at our S-1.

I heard it was something like this:

1 Mile Run
1 minute of pushups
1 minute of situps
Pullups

And I think maybe one more exercise.

That's only what I've heard though. May not be exactly correct.

If you look on the homepage I believe of this website and go under the heading PT, there should be an icon for the new pt changes. From what I have been told by my recruiter they do go in as of 1 April and its basically a new sit up- which I like because less stress on the neck max burn on the abs and the rest is still the same. They also have put in some new stretches and warm up exercises. Hope that helps. However, if you look the new pt is out there to view also try http://www.armydep.com

I know that the trainee's here are going by the new P.T. standard but I'm still fuzzy on when we will begin it. Any word on the new FM? MOS related?
