I'm trying to change my ship date to a earlier date, I talk to my recuriter and he said that it would take sometime to find out(hurry up to wait). whats the earliest I can ship. my question is, there any other way that I can contact meps to lock in a ship date so that I can leave sooner then May.

Thanks for your input

I am sure that one of the recruiters, or ex-recruiters, should jump in here and answer this, but I am going to take a stab at it.

It could be that there are not any school slots available until then. I am not sure what MOS you have chosen, but it may have something to do with school seat availability.

Here is one of those recruiters jumping...
The first answer you got is pretty close to accurate. It all has to do with vacancoes on classes for you MOS. Your recruiter would like nothing more than to have you ship sooner. The sooner you ship the less time there is that something can happen that would cause you not to ship. So rest assured your recruiter will work with you to ship sooner.

thanks for the input that's exactly what my recruiter told me. I was just thinking that either meps is taking there sweet time to find out or they forgot. I don't think my recruiter would lie to me about that.

also my MOS is 42 Alpha
