I'm a Cadet at Central Michigan University ROTC, and I don't know about other battalions, but cadet rank isn't reinforced here at all. There is no saluting between cadets, and that's how I think it should be. None of us have earned that right yet, so enlisted folks shouldn't salute us either. I'd feel guilty if one did.

Also, I'm enlisting in the Michigan National Guard as an 11X tomorow so I can go to basic and AIT and get some enlisted expierience before becoming an Officer. I know that enlisted soldiers look more highly upon butter-bars that have served some time as enlistees then those who just come straight into the military after commissioning.
