I'm talking to this person about joining the army and he mentioned something about his recruiter saying that there is a $1,000 a month bonus or something that he can get before he ships out to basic training. I've never heard of anything like that. Does anybody know about this?


And on the sixth day, God created the Field Artillery...

Yes. That is an incentive for HS seniors. If you meet the other basic qualifications.

Wait, so high school seniors can now get $1,000 a month for enlisting?! When did this start and how many months do they get it for?

Yes,

It is true. If you sign up your senior year, you will get $1000 for every month until you graduate. BUT you don't get the money until after you graduate AIT.

Now when you say graudate, do you mean graduate high school, BCT, or AIT? Just curious.
