I'm reclassing and eager to head towards my AIT @ FT Huachuca, Arizona. I'm hoping after the brief lock-down :evil: slight rush of dress-right-dress squared away mentally is revised :shock: that I get a chance to hang out get see what my surroundings have to offer. Any tips positive or negative would be most appreciated.
Also, are they big over there on running? Like running clubs or maybe 5k or 10k runs?

what are you reclassing to? Huachuca is as good as you make it. There is a good golf course there; if you do any rock climbing, or spelunking (sp?) there is a good share of that there too. Tombstone is about 30 mintes away. There are some very good wineries in Sonoma. Sierra Vista is kinda small, but has everything you need. What do you want to know?

Funny you should ask. I've been here about a year and a half, three months being permanent party, the other being AIT. I'm a 33W by the way. Ft Huachuca is a funny place. There's hot weather, then there's REALLY hot weather. There's stuff to do if you look for it. There's horseback riding, Tucson, Caverns, it's not really that bad. Let me know if you want more info.
