So here is my story in short.....in 1991 I was enlisted as a 12b...Had kids soon after..Wife left...Gained full custody of said kids... This all happened by the year 1995...Discharged from the army and left to raise my wonderful children alone.... 2000 Remarried... 2002 began re-enlistment process..(believe me its much easier the first time) 2003 physical (late august) 2004...sworn in(now 30 years old) and am scheduled to ship on june 16th to re-do basic :? What has changed as far as disciplinary tactics... I hear soldiers have it a lot easier than us older vets did back in the early 90's...
I enlisted in 94, officially hit my ten year mark about two weeks ago (half way done!) and Soldiers today are amazed at the stuff I tell them that I consider "normal" ... most of the Soldiers here weren't even taught how to roll up their BDU sleeves
one of the most common conversations "Didn't they teach you that in Basic/AIT?" (look of confusion)"No"

I was told(you know how that goes)that the army had implemented a time to think program for unsure soldiers..LMFAO...I just hope that this time in basic is just as demanding as it was in 91...
