im a medic and been in for 5 years and a buddy of mine is planning on joining RA, he said recruiter told him that since he has to complete the warrior training that he goes from being qualified for all of the army MOS's to only 9 and said its cuz of that training, i told him that i wasnt sure why that was except maybe there might not have been any class dates then but that seems odd that over 100 MOS's wouldnt have class dates. is that correct?

also the MOS he wants has an enlistment bonus, but recruiter said if he gets a bonus then he cannot get station of choice, now i got both when i joined, did things change or is he pulling his leg?

I would say the recruiter is pulling his leg because Yon can get a choice of duty station and a bonus if hes coming active army. The recruiter is not willing to do all that extra paper work. Hes just being lazy.

Ghostmedic of your friend is Prior Service then jobs are limited for him/her to come back on active duty. Ordmech the recruiter does not do any paperwork relating to jobs, bonuses, or station of choice. That is all done by the MEPS. Trust me O know this because I am stuck out here in this world of Recruiting right now.
