I have a co-worker who I've been working on some to see about joining hte Army. He has a great deal of interest in UAV's and yesterday said he might join if he could pilot UAVs.
All that I've seen is a 96U. This appears to be the smaller, hand-launched UAVs. Is this correct? Does the Army operate the larger UAVs?
I looked a tad bit at the Air Force & it appears that you have to be a rated pilot in order to fly UAVs.
Besides, he wants to be an officer (already has his degree) and I doubt that officers would be doing the actual flying missions.
Any insight that you can provide will be helpful. Thanks!!
