This is going to sound crazy but here goes. Im currently in the process of ACAP'ing and getting out the army. I wanted to stay in and go to ranger battalion but they dont accept my MOS(18E) and im an E-6. My question is can i come straight back into the army after ETS'ing to re-class to an 11B and get bumped down to an E-5 so i can go to the Ranger Indoctrination Program or am i just screwed? Im willing to get bumped down to an E-5 or even if i have to E-4. Going to ranger battalion is something i really want to do so any help would be appreciated

Dont you remember how much of a pain in the A$$ the meps is........Just to be on the safe side try to avoid getting out.......

Batt should take you if you are 18-series you just go through orientation instead of indoctrination. That being said, why go to Batt man? Thats like taking stupid pills for an echo. Its a step back for you and you are a hell of a lot better off in group. Think long and hard before you screw yourself.
