You will be fine as long as your criminal history since you were seperated isnt bad. The thing that is benefiting you is you were only AWOL for a few weeks and not over 30 days. But it will be an easy process for your recruiter as long as you bring him your DD214 and any other paperwork you have.
Its harder to go active duty from ANG than AR. ANG has to go all the way up to the state and AR is a company level approval. If you plan on going active why not just go from the start?

From AR 601-210
4-14(c) Any applicant who, during his or her last period of service, was AWOL or had lost time of 6-29 days regardless of the type of seperation or RE Code will be required to have a waiver for enlistment. CG, USAREC is approval authority.
