There are a lot of helpful leaders on the armystudyguide.com message boards that take the time to help. That's one thing you can always count on. One thing to also realize when you finish your training and move onto your first duty assignment, a lot of opportunities will open for you if you do what you are told and maintain that positive attitude.

What are your reasons for joining? That might help some of us over here give you some advice on a specific job to pick.

My reasons for joining??

That's a good question, it was something I needed to answer my mother when I told her what my plans were, being that she was against it from the start, probably thought I was a little too girly, or that the job I have is good for me. So I told her I'd be in the reserve, but the more I thought about it, the more I realized I wanted more, after I took the ASVAB test and learned about AIT, it just felt that being a part-time soldier wouldn't be enough, or simply not what I wanted.

I moved to the United States when I was 12 years old, and I consider the United States, my country, I love it, and I want to do my part. It's kind of hard to explain, but when I see men and women in uniform, I feel a huge respect towards them, and I know I want to be one of them. I am aware that it will take a big effort, and I'm willing to give it my all.

That said, I also like the thrill of knowing it's going to be a challenge for me physically as well as mentally. That I will be working hard for a purpose, not many people get to work on what they truly love, and so far I've felt like this is my calling.

Right now I'm working in Accounting (A/R) for a local radio station, and I love it, I like to solve problems, to be organized, to work with people but know that the final result depends on me. I use to work in Human Resources for a little while, and I really liked that too. So I'm looking for an MOS that will combine my current job with being a soldier. Hopefully there will be openings in a similar field. Confused
