That depends. They may giveyou a litle time but not much, I mean why would they? If you are want to go active then why start the process? Wait until you know you are ready. If you Go to MEPS and sign the papers you will go when they say you need to report. I would say no longer than a month away from when you go back to MEPS. Not for certain, but thats how long it took for me when I did it years ago.

Well...I have a one and a half week old right now and my wife doesn't want to move until he is a little older. Also, my 368 to go from the NG to AD expires on October 15th. My original plan was to reclass, put off the training date until about December, finish the training and probably move in February.
Now the plan may change because I really want a good bonus and 27D doesn't seem to have too good of one. My previous MOS is 13D and from what i'm seeing I might be able to get a 20k bonus for three years. It makes the decision much harder for me because I could knock out some debt and pay off one of our cars.

I know how you feel about the newborn, I have a 5 day old and I report for Recruiting school early next month, but you gotta do what you gotta do right?
My plan was that I would be here for another year, at least, seeing as how I was stabilized for 2 year from the day I inprocessed, but not anymore...so you can plan all you want but things change everyday.

Congratulations! Boy or girl? I'm sorry to hear about recruiting school. I currently am on ADSW orders working for NG recruiters and all the AD guys I meet say they hate it. :P In stark contrast, all the NG recruiters really like the job. :P Thankfully my orders don't end until September 30th, so I can pull it out till then and maybe another month after that if MEPS allows it.
