I will be shipping out to BCT as E2 due to being able to pass the APFT before shipping out. Is it possible(if I keep my nose clean and bust ass every day) to be promoted to E3 upon competion of BCT or is this unheard of?

When I went thru many years ago they had one waiver for the whole Company, and that waiver was given to the most highspeed Soldier (Scored highest in Marskmen, scored amoung the highest in PT, and all around great Soldier). I beleive this still holds true that they have a waiver at Basic Training level for promotion to PV2 and PFC. If you work incredibly hard you may get it. If you don't get it in BCT, fear not, because you'll eventually get it whether you meet your TIG requirements or you get to your first duty station and they waiver you. Either way you will eventually get advanced as far as Specialist in the 2 years.

Good luck in Basic and AIT (on a side not, it stands to believe that they are able to waiver Soldiers in AIT as well since every unit is given a AAA 162 report for Soldier's able to advance).

Dont forget its not just the pt test you have to do all the classes online and show proof you passed them and the form 1137 has to be signed by the company commander, approving it
