In 1992 I enlisted in the army reserve at the age of 23. Unfortunately, I was not able to adapt. Consequently, they are requiring me to obtain a letter of clearance from a licensed pyschiatrist(spelling). I know that it may sound corny to some but i owe a debt to my country that I am determined to pay. I have grown alot and know that i will do fine.I am 37 now and am ready to get this monkey off my back. are there any physical requirements that may prohibit me from joining, such as a sore knee or if I am having problems with my teeth? I know for a fact that I can pass the pt test with no problem, but these two things have me a little concerned. I think that my recruiter is a little apprehensive about signing me up, but giving up is not an option.

Very true. I am considering a career as a chaplain's assistant as I will be graduating with a bachleor's degree in ministry this spring. How, if at all, will my degree affect my pay grade or rank? Also, as I mentioned earlier, if I have had some dental trouble, will that bar me from service?

A masters of divinity would take approximatley two more years. I don't to wait too long as I may pass the age limit. As for Warcrimes reply, are you serious or just trying to be funny? It's not quite that bad.

"War is an act of force, and to the application of that force there is no limit. Each of the advisaries forces the hand of the other, and in a recipricol action results in which there can be no limit..." Carl von Clausewitz, on war, 1833
