OK, I am a new Drill Sergeant. I was told by some of my battles to spray the brim of the hat with unscented hairspray, until it is soaked. then put it in a hat press and let it dry for a few days.
OK I did all that. but the brim is floppier than it was to begin with. Whats the problem? It has been setting in the press for 3 days now. Is there a way to reverse the floppiness?

I use AquaNet hairspray on mine and immediately put it in the hat press, it seems to work out fine, except for the smell. It has a hairspray smell for about 2 days. Not a big deal, never had a floppy hat, except for those torrential downpour days, we aren't allowed to have hat covers at Benning.
