You need to contact your branch manager at DA. But be careful of what you wish for. After a year of being an instrcutor they can sweep you up for a MITT.

I was automatically selected for the assignment but I had to go see the Special Assignments and fill out a Questionnaire so see if I was eligible for the assignment. You also need a mental evaluation, and a recommendation from your LTC and CSM your CDR and 1SG (all in the packet you will get from special assignments) have to sign off on it as well.

PLUS, Now as instructors we are Squad Leaders for the Privates. My "squad" is 27 deep, we form up at 0450hrs, after I finish teaching mail call formation can be from 1700-1815hrs.. AND all of the other extra duties in army life..
