Do you get weekends off in DSS?

Depends on the school as well. Active duty DSS is 9 weeks with some weekends off and some duty days ending at 1700.

The Reserve also has DSS schools that cover the same training hours as active but theirs is condensed to 6 weeks, with no weekends and most days can push into 1900 or 2000 hours.
