I tried it with 31B and 42A...I couldn't get closer than like 30 points. Like I said, I'm terrible with numbers. Throw some thinking into the equation, and I'm worse. So I probably fudged up somewhere.
I can wait for all the points and reports to come out. But at least I was occupied yesterday!

Ok so get this I am a type A personality so being so I decided to give a call to Mrs. Morttey who is the POC for the Trend report and asked if there was an equation to their math to get the average PZ/SZ cutoff scores for the last 6 months and she said that the system meaning computer dose the calculating and is having problems because they're wrong. So it should be the average for the last 6 months which means our math is right and well theirs is not. Oh and she said she is going to check into it today and asked if I can call her tomorrow because she was headed off to a meeting right now for the cutoff scores that will be comming out so I will keep you all posted. Based on your calculations, below is the Mathematical Equation
A=6C – B
“A” is the Unknown Cutoff Score; PZ or SZ “B” is the Total of the Last Five Most Current Cutoff Scores; PZ or SZ “C” is the most Current Average PZ or SZ Cutoff Score on the Trend Report

That's what happened with me too. I calculated my own trend report score, then did the math, and it came out to be the same score as this month's. I was only off by like a tenth. Hmmmm...
It's nice to know that you might be smarter than a computer, though. Or at least less problematic

LOL. Once they make the new one public I'm going to print that one to and see if I can figure it out using that one and the last months. I hope it works cause then i won't have to wait.lol

Ok so I am some what close to how they figure out the trend reports.I came accross this article and they do use the past 6 months to figure out the next month, article below. The average scores displayed in the February trend report cover the most recent six months for the various military occupational specialties of the Enlisted Personnel Management System.
Average scores for new MOSs that have been in the system less than six months will be computed using the number of months of published scores.
The month total used in the calculation is displayed in parentheses next to the secondary zone column.
The trend report is designed for promotable specialists, corporals and sergeants who want to know how they stand Army-wide in comparison with other promotable soldiers of the same specialty.
Officials suggest that soldiers use the trend report, along with the advice of personnel managers, retention NCOs, commanders and supervisors to determine what specialties offer good career opportunities.
You can test to see if it works for you, now. By going off last month and seeing if that worked.
smitayy...if you use the current trend report out NOW...you are going to get LAST months cut off score. (thats LAST month's trend report you are using)
to get NEXT months cut-off score....we need the new trend report....should be out in 1-2 days.
or maybe im just confused too......and i didn't read something.....
its a a great thread, and topic...thanks Wolve. and it works for me. So im hoping the TREND REPORT says 770 or BELOW when it comes out!!!!That will give me a cut off of 780 or below, and im good.
