I submited an updated pt test on the morning of the 6th of Aug in order to update my 3355 online for the sept board. With that update I would have had enough points to get promoted sept 1st. However I was short points because according to my s1 it did not update by the time the board viewed the points. However I think she might be just covering her ass because my 3355 did not update at all untill yesterday. Do any s1 knowlegible people know if this sounds correct and or if I would qualify for an exception to policy?

Did you receive an email stating your 3355 had been updated?

No, I took my pt test in on the 6th so that it would be updated for the board. My s1 told me that it would be updated and that I would have 784 points. However when I checked the by name list on the 22nd, I was not on it. Naturally I was curious and looked up my 3355 to see where my points were. They were still 779 which was my total before I turned in the PT test. The points for this month ended up being 781. So minus those updated points, I missed cut off by 2 points. I wasn't aware that I was supposed to get a confirmation email telling me that my 3355 had been updated because I never had before.

I have not used the new system, BUT, my last Soldier (just got promoted about a month ago to SGT) she kept updating her 3355 everyday after doing correspondences courses...and every time she would get an email stating there had been an update to her online 3355...did they sign a DA 200 when you turned it in? Why did you wait until the 22nd to check on it? I would have checked on the 7th, and then on the 8th (since thats the cut-off) and then on the morning of the 8th (if it was a weekday i cant remember) I would have checked if it wasnt there I would have gone to S1 and say "its not there, it needs to be there today"

Not sayings its all your fault, but come on, its your promotion, you have to take care of yourself...

I was in a very similar situation where my S1 did not put my points in on time. They acknowledged there mistake though. And then showed me how to update the 3355 myself online. Its real easy. You can find the link on HRC website. But pay close attention to what your doing and be prepared to get audited. And like Trans said you will get an email letting you know they received the update. You have until the end of the day on the 8th of Sept to be good for 1 Oct. Then the two days later after you do the update check your ERB. It should reflect your new points. But you got to stay on this. I kid you not I have met at least 10 soldiers just in the past few days that should of been getting promoted Sept 1 but they had know clue that you could update your points online. And they all clammed S-1 messed them up. You should also join S-1 net on your ako. Everything you need to know about promotions is on there. Just don't get on there and ask some off the wall questions.
