It looks like I made it, but I want to see the list of names before I can be sure about that. I don't think the list will be out today, think it will be by tomorrow afternoon or the next day?

Hmm, the wife and I have been wondering that too. I was going to ask the promotion clerk about that when I ask about my orders. If our promotions are effective 1 Sept, then the E-5 pay should start then. Logically, if it doesn't start then it should be backpaid on the 15th or at some point. Clarification, anyone?

You will notice your first pay difference on the 15th of Sept. The Army doesnt pay you ahead of time. Your paid for the two week period prior that you worked just like any job.

So you mean to tell me that you have been promoted to SGT and still don't know how your own pay works???

Was thinking the same thing. I'm also glad to hear "leaders" worrying about money and not the chance to influence a soldiers career.

I suggest you take financial readiness classes before you have to counsel a soldier about indebtedness or anything like that.

Unless u got something helpful to say why don't you quit running your damn mouth.....And besides if you read many of my other post about advice, and promotion questions this issue has never been brought up by me. It was just a question out of curiosity. THATS ALL....Every time I have been promoted there has always been something wrong with the paper work. So it has never hit the system the way it should. So for me its been kind of hard to tell how the pay is suppose to go. See thats the problem with a few of you on here instead of giving advice you get on here with your little smart comments. And sarge how you got "I'm also glad to hear "leaders" worrying about money and not the chance to influence a soldiers" how could you let some stupid $hit like that come out of your mouth.....Read some of my other post...And you will see thats not the case.....

This is also a problem with a few of you on here... you have no clue about basic soldiering skills...Like how pay and promotions work ANDDDDDDDDDD you are E-4P's and NCOs.
