Would it be better if an actual person read it? I think that can be arranged.

Other that, a little more time between question and answer.

We tried an actual person reading it, but it did not sound right. It actually got more annoying than the computer guy "joe" reading it.

We are just trying to make it so that if someone wants to study by listening to it, they can do so for free instead of paying for a study guide on a cd.

As for the space between question and answer, are you talking about giving enough time for the person to try to answer the question before the actual answer is read off?

Now I'm curious.
What equipment/software/effects did you use to record the voice?
How did it "not sound right"?

I don't mean to be a pain in the ass about it, I just want to help. I know you want to get something out there quickly and it looks pretty good so far.

Second question: Yes, that's exactly what I meant.

New idea: In many language tapes and other learning books on tape, there are 2 speakers. Normally there is 1 male 1 female. This I think they do to prevent boredom. Does your program have a "Jane"? Could you have them alternate between questions?
