I am a wife of a Marine that has been diagnosed with severe PTSD after his return from Iraq. After going with him to the VA in Biloxi, i have realized that there is a real need for a group in the area, so, i have started a support group where vets can talk to vets, and spouses can talk to spouses all in which, we can honestly say, we have been there, done that and probably are still going through it.. Vets sometimes feel more comfortable talking to other vets, and spouses feel better talking to someone that is going through the same thing they are.So, my husband and I have started this support group. We are working with Camp Shelby as well as the VA in Biloxi. Once we get enough people together we will start having weekly group meetings. If you need help, need to talk, need resources, please fill out the contact form on our website and we will help in anyway that we can..The website is

www.ptsdsupportgroup.vpweb.com

We are here to help and will do all we can to get everyone the help and support they need so that families do not have to suffer through the not knowing of PTSD..

My name is Christian and I work for MTV True life. True Life is a documentary series that’s been on MTV for 10 years. Each episode of “True Life” is about a different topic. Most of the topics have some global, social or personal importance, like this one. Some of them are about youth culture, like episodes about gamers or cheerleaders. All episodes aim to tell deeply personal stories. There is no host, reporter or narrator. The young people tell their own stories in their own voices. So what we are looking for are veterans of the Iraq War who appear to be 28 years old or younger and have either been diagnosed with PTSD or have symptoms of PTSD. We’re looking for veterans who are willing to share their struggle with PTSD with a national audience. If you or someone you know is interested in speaking with us about participating in this documentary, please contact us at:
