I have read that you can bring dependents to ait because it is a pcs. But I am foggy on a couple of things. I am non-prior service. Can I bring my wife, or can only prior service soldiers bring them? And if so, can I bring them to both Phase I and II, or just phase II? This is a big deciding point for us, so any help on this issue will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

It mostly depends on how long your AIT is. It may have change since I was in AIT, but my first AIT was a year long so you could begin your family if you had one. But even if you can don't depend on bringing them imediately, because I know we I went through it was a month or 2 process before you could bring them. Hope that helps.
hope it's not too late to give you this info. at 68P school, considering you are an IET soldier (non-prior service), you would need to wait a couple of months into Phase I before you could allow your spouse/dependents to move down to Fort Sam with you. the school is one year long broken down into 6 months of Phase I at Fort Sam and 6 months of Phase II of your selection. yes, you are allowed to bring your spouse/dependents with you to Phase II and it is part of the outprocess for you upon completion of Phase I.
I graduated 68P April 2007 and I sent a few of my soldiers down there and gave them the same info I just gave you.
