Hey,
I'm new to this discussion board but I just re-enlisted for Fort Irwin. I'm a Cav Scout. I am currently in Iraq and my units going to be here for a total of 15 months so my report date to Fort Irwin is sometime around September 10th 2008. which is 3 months after I get back from Iraq. Does anyone hear anything about getting deployed around that time? I'm already going so if I get deployed again I do that's just how things work. But just curious if anyone knows anything that I don't. And I take it since I'm a scout I'll get stuck with 11th ACR do I have any chance of getting stuck with another unit? Also, I here you can be deployed at a minimum of 4 months after a prior deployment, is that a fact or what? Cause I hear a lot of different things. One year - 4 months just wondering if anythings even written in stone about that or not?

i know there is a stabilization period that is required (unless the soldier chooses to wave it) after a deployment. im not sure of exactly what it states but i know it is for every x many months deployed the soldier is guaranteed x months stabilized...
