I have a quick question. I searched the threads, and didn't find anything that completely fits my situation.
My DEROS is 3MAY08. I received a nomination for the DIA, and was told I'd come down on orders to MacDill AFB, Tampa, FL. Sure enough, about two weeks after I was told that by branch, my ASK now says "MacDill AFB", but my report date is 10JUL08...over two months from my DEROS. I know some of that can be attribute to taking leave (which I don't intend on taking). Some people have said this is the latest I can report, but it may be sooner.
Basically, I was trying to get things in line to leave in May, so I'm wondering if that's still possible with that report date, or is that too far out? My buddy who is scheduled to report 14JUL08 to NORAD (Colorado), is trying to get a curtailment, and said I should look into that. Worth a shot? I appreciate any information you can give me.
10 Jul is the report by date. You can report early.
My DEROS is 5 Apr 08 and my report date is 10 Jul 08. I submitted my leave form so I could get my orders. So I got my orders and the report by date is the last day of my leave which is 24 April. So I'm taking leave and am still reporting over 2 months early.

Outstanding. I was hearing things like "you'd have to take 2 months leave if you want to leave oon your DEROS" and stuff. I really appreciate the info..

No way...thats your report date but your orders should say "Early Report Authorized" also it would no be a curtailment...a curtailment would move your DEROS from what it is to an EARLIER date....cutting your overseas tour short...a deferment would push your report date further out, an FSTE would extend your DEROS closer to your report date...your PAC/S1 should be able to explain all this to you so you dont get terms confused...
Lead by Example!!!

I appreciate it TransAm95NCO. I figured it would say that, but I didn't know how early you're allowed to report or anything like that. I didn't know if 1 1/2 - 2 months early would be crazy or what. Unfortunately, I have yet to see anything in writing, but I think I will within the next two weeks.
