What posts am I eligible to go to after graduating AIT for 31E (resettlement spec)? Is Gitmo a tour like Korea....meaning a one year tour without wife?
As far as post, you can go to Leavenworth (i loved it there), Sill, Germany, Korea, Knox, Lewis and if you're lucky and its available, Mirarmar in California. Or you could come to hell on earth and my present location, GTMO. And YES, GTMO is a dependent restricted tour. I'm not even a 31E but I seem to get stuck w/ MP units. If anything try for Leavenworth. I love it there and would want to go back.
well more than likely, you'll end up here at beautiful fort leavenworth, but the big number 2 for 31e's is gtmo, which means no family, however i have heard that your spouse can go for 30 days (please correct me if i am wrong so i can silence those rumors), after gitmo most go to fort lewis, then korea, then knox, then manheim, germany, which i hear is the best, then fort sill, and once you make some rank you could very well get a liason slot, i have seen one go to fort riley, one to fort bragg, one to benning, last i heard they also have a small rcf in fort carson...and if you are very lucky, or reup for it, you can get charleston, sc...one of my good buddies got that as a reup incentive...welcome to the 31e field you're up for some long days and nights and some of the best leadership out there!!!
I am a soldier, I fight where I'm told, and win where I fight.

My husband is a 31E and we got lucky enough to be going to Miramar CA, after that to Fort Lewis!! But other then that Garner has that all covered!Dont say that you are lucky enough to go to Charleston SC, I am there right now and it is horrible here, the area is nice, but the base is well... not much to be said about it here!
