I have never PCS beofore I was wondering if I can inprocess post housing while still on leave/permissive tdy. I am taking 45 days of leave that inccludes the permissive tdy. Also if I do inprocess housing would that make me have to in process the post and cut my leave short.

no, you can go to the hpusing dept. and get on the housing list now, they just a copy of your orders bringing you there. It took me about 6 months to get a house, but they always tell you 12 to 18 months. good luck

Dont forget to sign into housing the day your PTDY starts...if you dont it will throw your PTDY days off and you will get charged for those days until you sign into housing.
