E-4(P)25F...but currently narrowing down reclass choices, even outside Signal Branch.

How can I get this assignment my window opens this September, and it's my hometown. I can only be told no...or magic happens.

Well, I'll tell you this one. It is supposedly closing yet I just reenlisted for it. I'm a 25R. I'm going to HQ 3rd Army. They are eventually going to Shaw AFB, SC but Shaw is not ready for them considering all the money is tied up in the war right now.

I didn't walk in wanting McPherson, it just happenned to have an open slot. The priority for my MOS right now is here at Bragg, PSYOP where I've been for 2.5 years so that's why I'm leaving.

Nope, still closing in 2011.

If a valid slot is available, your Career Counselor can get it for you.

As Eureeka8 stated, 3rd Army would be your best bet. Get with your Career Counselor tomorrow to see what's available.

Noted. Would it be plausible to Reclass into a slot need at 3rd Army and lock in that location?

Not likely, and here's why.

By the time you pick the MOS, attend training, graduate training and PCS, the need for the MOS at that location would have already been filled.

3rd Army is a deploying unit and these are filled almost as quickly as a BCT.
