I'm a mechanic, but I've been in several ADA units at fort Bliss an now Fort Campbell, there's a good chance you will be working on the AMG, I think it stand sfor Antenna Mass Group but not sure. you also could be in a maintaince or headquaters unit as well.

As a commo guy, you could end up working inside of an Engagement Control Station which is the heart of the Patriot missile system, the optempo is pretty high in that particular job, but depending on crew slots available, they might not have room for you in there. The Mechanic is right, you could end up being a crew member on an Antenna Mast Group which is how Patriot sends digital comms throughout the Battalion. Typically when certification time isnt near, the job is pretty chill, but when that time draws near, people are jumping through hoops, especially the 14E's/14T's that are involved in the unit. Bad news is, once you get into ADA, you're stuck. It all depends on personal preference, you may like it, you may not, but Ft.Bliss is a nice post, the El Paso area is in a desert environment, but the weather stays mild year round and the city/people are nice. Good luck!
