So, I am new to this, but little info about me I am a 31B, SGT, 5 years guard. But i just got conditionally released for RA, what can i expect at MEPS as far as getting what i want(duty station) wise. Can I negotiate at all or is it "this is what you can do or don't join"?

I can't help too much with your situation but I have a friend who works at MEPS at FT Jackson and I will ask her opinion.

It's funny though, I'm in your complete oposite boots, I did 5 RA as a 31b then went guard. I found my experience from RA set me up quite well and now I am mission jumping in the guard so that I can collect BAH while being single and on title 10 orders. I've been in the guard for just about 3 years now and I've been part time a total of 6 months.
