What does this mean?!?!?!? I have hard copy orders with a date in december. Ive already cleared, for the most part, and have a signed da 31 to start my PCS leave in 2 weeks. I just checked my ASK and it suddenly changed the report date to february of 2010. What the hell is going on. This is my first PCS and it is going horrible when it comes to the Army issuing orders. Does anyone know what is happening. Im starting to regret having re-enlisted.

Go with the hard copy orders. No one is going to sit there and say "Well what does ASK say your report date is?" Check you ERB to make sure you are still on orders. Did you get an EPMD message in AKO with changes to your report date? If not, then it's probably just a glitch in the ASK system. If you really want to go the extra mile, talk to your S-1 or retention. They should be able to double check your report date status for you. Don't give up just because of something like this. Accidents happen all the time ESPECIALLY when it comes to paperwork in the Army. Always make copies and then make copies of those copies.

Thanks for the response MP. My main concern is that Im going to get a call while Im on PCS leave to return to Ft Hood because my orders have been changed. I just cant see ASK screwing something like this up that bad. I mean, someone had to change it. The system cant just change things on its own. Besides that, I didnt even get an EPMD message for my current hard copy report date for about a week after my date was updated in ASK. Which means the message for this new date wont get to me until Im already gone.

Then definately follow up with your S-1, retention or even branch. Last thing you want to do is burn leave days for no reason. Let us know how it turns out mad good luck.

Your ASK data is what was inputted by your branch manager or strength manager. You need to go talk to your servicing personnel division, most likely whoever did your levy brief, and let them know. It's way to easy to have your final out date changed and for you to stay put until the report date. Or you have the possibility of reporting early. Failure to abide by official orders can result in you not getting properly re-imbursed for any travel/pcs costs since you won't be traveling on official orders.

Do your orders say early report authorized? Most orders say that. If so, then there is nothing to worry about.
