Likelihood is that you will be coming up here to Fort Richardson, just outside of Anchorage. It is a life cycle unit and in the next couple of months will be standing up the new unit. Feel free to send me a pm if you care for more information on the matter.

Of course I cannot promise this, but Ft. Richardson has the only airborne unit in Alaska.

I was at Ft. Rich from 2002 - 2005. 1/501st was the only Airbourne unit at Ft. Rich. Of course when I left they were standing up the striker unit so 501st may fall under them now, I'm not sure now. I went back to visit in 2007 and the post has changed alot. It was a nice place to be stationed except the winters are to long but summers are really nice.
