I'm station at Peterson AFB and work at Cheyenne Mountain but I'm trying to get stationed at Fort Mchperson or Fort Gillem. I need to know how hard it would be for me to do so. I was a 25D but now I'm a 25B.

3d Army may have a few positions. Contact your Assignment Manager for possible assignment.

I called my assignment manager and she informed me that she can not touch me. That I am stabilized at Peterson AFB until 2011. Should I just give up trying to leave?

Since Fort McPherson has been mentioned. I wanted to know if there are slots for 74D's CBRN? I have been approved for a compassionate reassignment and was asked to choose a location in GA. I chose Fort McPherson. Is this viable? How about Fort Gillem?

Compassionate assignments are different. The Army can slot you in an overstrength assignment because compassionate assignments are temporary; normally for 12-months or less.

I do realize that compassionate reassignments are different but in this case, they are treating it as an actual PCS. My compassionate reassignment was approved but with options. One of the options under my particular compassionate reassignment was to actually PCS to Georgia and I was to choose what Post.
