I reenlisted as a E5 when I was in Iraq for Ft bragg (I don't know what in the world I was thinking of). Did a lil research on the unit and realize that they are going back downrange the moment my dwell time is up. I understand that deployment is part and parcel of the Army these days, but I am trying to get a lil more time with my kids...i am a single parent.

But bottom line is, I called branch right after, and the ncoic that i was working with told me to call him when i became Promotable cos thats when my options open up. I just had enough time in the last month to go to the board in the secondary zone and am now promotable. When I called him, he no longer works there!!! The people i talk to doesn't seem like they want to help! i waived my reenlistment option to Bragg and am now in limbo!!! What can I do?!?!?

Would like an instructor position? is that possible??? for E5(P) and hopefully get picked up next month!
