I am a soldier currently stationed at Ft. Bragg and have a question about my spouse getting orders for Bragg. I need to know what I or my spouse needs to do to make this happen. I have been here since Feb this year and came into the Army June '07.
My wife DEP'd into the Army sometime in March and we got married in July. She just left for basic on the 13th of Aug. No one has made it clear what we must do in order for her to get orders after AIT to come here with me. She will be done with the first part of her AIT around April of '09. (She is medical 68K Lab Tech, 6 months classroom and 6 months in a hospital at duty station to get hands on AIT training)
I have spoke with my S1 and they just say she needs to put in paperwork at her AIT in order for us to be stationed together. I'm sure there is more to it than that. I would greatly appreciate it if someone could help guide me in the right direction so that when it does come time for her to go to a duty station, we can be together. Someone out there must be familiar with this situation!!! Thank you
Ya'll need to enroll in the Married Army Couples Program and the Joint Domicile (your S1 should have the forms already filled out except for your info).
Note: First assignment after you sign up for this program might not be together and it is not a guarantee you will be together for every assignment.
Lead by Example!!!

Seems like most married couples I have met since I have been in have not been stationed together (close within 2-3hrs) This is just from what I have seen. But I have also seen a few that have been together.
