I received TLE and BAH at the same time when I PCSed a couple of years ago. When I asked why, they said it was because you have to live in transient lodging while you are clearing your quarters. So you are still paying rent, but can't live in the house. All true and very reasonable. Does anyone know the regulation that supports this? I'm about to do another PCS and am going to try to get this again.

I do not have the reg but Im doing the same thing. You are authorized TLE for 10 days either at your outgoing station, or at your new assignment. You cant get it at both places though. Hope that helps

Best to ask your PCS personnel, whoever conducts it at your post, whether ACS or some other civillian association. I was granted TLE for 10 days as well, and had the option of splitting 5 there and 5 at the new post.
