I just received my orders today and was wondering about a line in there. Makes no sense to me whatsoever. Please help , and thank you in advance.

Asgd to mgt designation: 25F207DYY

I am currently a 25F107E but I am promotable and everywhere throughout my batallion im listed as Corporal but my erb doesnt say corporal. Even my officers at work want to pin me, but since I am not on this units c10 roster I can't "officially" get corporal.

The 7E asi is Echelons Above Corps.
7D is Echelons Below Corps

Obviously the 20 means an E5 slot?

But what does the YY mean?

Im being assigned to the 003HQHHC REPL at Ft. Hood. Is that line (25F207DYY) narrowing down where I can be sent?

Any help would be appreciated. I didn't provide anything else about my orders for my own privacy, but if anything else is needed I will be more than happy to give it to you.

Well I think I found my own answer in 600-8-105. But anyone's opinion about what it may realistically mean is still appreciated.

I wonder if that's the LANG code? I know on my ERB all of my previous assignments are listed, then "LANG: YY". Just a thought.

I'm also PCS'ing soon....looking forward to getting back CONUS!

The YY apparently means Critical Short / Priority Fill according to 600-35 or AR 600-35 before Mr. AR gets me Smiler

Receiving those orders in had today put the biggest smile on my face. Best day of my life to be honest. 24 months in Korea is a terrible terrible thing.

Thinking of AIP ? Think again.

The YY is a language code for "NONE".

Sometimes you may see ZZ which means unspecified.

If you coming to Hood get ready to deploy unless they stick you with CAV who just got back with a few other units.

Actually I'm being grabbed up by my old unit that is in a Korea rotation. I've been overseas for 2 years so I better get SOME bit of down time. I want to see my family again.
