I am currently on PCS Leave, coming back from Germany. I was on orders to Fort Bliss. I checked my AKO Email on Friday and received an email stating that my assignment to Fort Bliss, 3/2 ADA was deleted. Then there was a second email stating that I am on assignment to Fort Sill, 31st ADA. I called my branch manager and he said that I would fly back to Fort Bliss on the 27th (like I planned to do) and I would not check in. They (I have no clue who they are) would have an amendment for me when I got to Bliss. My branch manager would contact the Sergeant Major and notify him (of what, I am not sure).

So is there someone I should be calling, possibly someone up at 31st? I am a little curious as to how all this is going to happen, getting me to Fort Sill, Leave Extension possibly, getting my household goods from Bliss to Sill.

Is this common to happen. This is my first PCS, not including going from AIT to Germany. I just want this to go as smooth as possible. Thanks for all the help.

my advice would be to contact S-1 up at the 31st and explain the situation to them first thing tomorrow morning (probably 0900)...they'll notify the proper channels...make sure you leave a good number for them to reach you...maybe if Top_Dog sees this post he'll be able to use some of his contacts at ft. sill to help you out...

I am currently at Sill, and we fall under the 31st. They are due to move here by the end of Agust so maybe that is the reason
