Well there are two options I know you can do. The first is to put in a 4187 requesting a change in MOS, S1 should assist you. The second it to wait until your reenlistment window opens up and reenlist as a 11B.

PFC STERN, when you went to MEPS, they said you were Color Defecent. Did you mean to say that you were color blind? I had a friend who went, and he was red/green colorblind. He only had a choice of like 4 jobs. They told him that no other jobs would be available to him. Like CAT said, talk to your S1 or Re-up NCO. Also may want to have your eye's reevaluated, they may say something different.

CAT, are you sure about that? If he was denied a MOS at MEPS due to a medical issue, I don't think that they would let him change into a MOS that he was disqualified from when he did his initial enlistment.

Thanks agian cat

Foward Observer: they said i was red/green deficent. the said the same thing to my friend. both of us only had two jobs aviable to us. he took 15P and me 91W. I have had the results challanged and proved wrong by a civilan doctor but MEPS said it was easier to change inside the army then outside. thank you for your advise.

That's good to hear, that is why I asked. It is good that you have had the MEPS findings reversed. Big Grin

You know how paperwork is. Sometimes you might need a check list of stuff to do while another soldier doing the same thing needs the bare minimum. I say try and if don't go through...see if there's another route.

I think "color defecent" is the new "color blind". Color blind is no longer politically correct.
