Don't know about the brigade but Fort Gordon is an ait post and extremely crowded. The facilities are aquedate and the surrounding towns are decent. Others will be able to provide more specific info for you. If you are single make sure your check an Id and anything E-3 or below stay away.

If you decide to live off-post, there aren't a lot of apartments or whatever right near Ft Gordon, most drive pretty far into Augusta. There are plenty of decent houses fairly cheap in Grovetown if you wanted to split costs with a roomate or two. Grovetown is also pretty safe, quiet, and close to I-20, which gets you downtown in 20min.

STAY AWAY FROM THE PRIVATES. The Signal AIT Soldiers are at Fort Gordon way too long- so long they get bored and looking for trouble. Don't mess with them, don't talk to them, correct them as you need to and drive on.

Seriously in our incoming brief we were told "If you see one go down with a heart attack or whatever, drop a chemlight on them, leave 'em and call for help. Don't mess with them!" Smiler

A different brief- "I don't care what the emergency is- don't ever have them in your POV or quarters. In fact, if there's a tornado coming and they're laying in a ditch, yell for them to duck down lower and keep on driving!" Eeker
