i am currently an 11b e4(p) should get pinned in january, and i seen cid special agent on the bear program, and am interested in that job can anyone tell me a little about it an dthe requirements or it



a little background on me is i have 5 yrs in service more combat experience in the yr i have been in iraq than i cold have ever imagined and looking for a change of pace

[b:b447dfc09b]I know a little about this since I re-classed from 12B to be an MP.
You will have to be interviewed by a CID agent, and be able to get a TS security clearance. I would recommend you start your security clearance paperwork now if you are going to re-class.
Just on a personal note.. I regret having reclassed because it slowed down my promotion rate greatly, but this is something you will have to decide on yourself though.

Hope this info helps you out a little. You will also have to decide if you want to be a W.O. or not though and will have to submit your packet to go to Warrant Officer Candidate Course at Ft. Rucker AL.[/b:b447dfc09b]

If you go to AKO web site, there is a link there for warrant officer recruiting. (CID) the 31D school is 4 months long. and after you are "accredited" (this takes one year) then you can put in your packet for WOC. this is of course IF you meet all the prerequisites.

i gotta soldier who wants to reclass to CID, so i looked up the quals for her and got info from a CID agent; this is what i got:

i was listed that you had to have at least 2 yrs. exp. as an MP, but that can be waived. however, you do have to be 21 or older (which is what killed her chance right now). you will be a Top Secret and/or higher. it's hard to get but easy to keep. there are internships available for CID work so you should try to get in contact with a rep. from the agency try going through your retention office.
