So are all MI Battalions and MI Brigades assigned to Divisions retired under the new Unit of Action scheme? Because from what I understand, the MI troops will be split amongst the 4 UAs in the jack-of-all-trades BTBs (Brigade Troops Batallions).
Is this how it goes, and what about MI Units not assigned to Divisions?
I don't believe so. The way I understand it, only Divison level MI units are doing this. I'm currently in a unit that is not part of a division, and none of this is happening to us. My last unit that I just left at Ft. Stewart has already gone through this, they no exist as the unit I left.

I heard something about doing away with MI batts...but who knows. Talk to your branch manager, he should know more about it. I'm sure HRC has something about it in there...I'll check

I know the 513th aint going anywhere. I think its time for some other MI units to pull some weight. At least 1 BN in this BDE is gone at any given time. Sucks to be us, I guess.
Yes your currect the MI BN's are essentially gone for divisions their are now BSTB BN's i don't know what BSTB stands for but they consist of HHSC, SIG CO, MI CO, and three forward support CO's MP's ect. The ACE is now part of the Division's HHD. Just alittle FYI.
Under the new UA program the MI bn is spliting up, first they are adding a company to make 4 direct support companies, one for each new UA/ brigade, this company will become part of the BTB, then the division assets get split into these 4 companies, the ACE will become part of the G2, and will go to the STB/division this is were all the G's go ie. G1, G2, G4, G6 etc. Now the ACE/G2 element will still need to support the 4 UA's for all major assets until MTOEs at the UA level are adjusted and filled. Now this is a very costly process and will take years to complete therefore MI folks will be stretched thin. Hence the reason for the bonuses. To my knowledge the MI battalions that do not fall directly under a division will not be affected at first except for the fact that all the converting units will have priority for new equipment.
