I just recently was accepted into the BEAR program for 97E. I'm pretty excited about that. Unfortunately DLI wasn't in the contract. I talked to the MI Branch chief and he said that soon the MOS (might) not require a language at all. Currently though it only requires one at E-6 and above and this is why it wasn't part of my BEAR contract.
Anyway, I am trying to find out how I can better my chances of getting Korean if it still requires a language when I graduate from Huachuca. My DLAB is 127 . I know that unless it is in writing there is no guarentee, but there must be a way to better my chances..... Right??
Also if the MOS ends up no longer requiring a language by the time I leave Huachuca (class report date 4 May 07) is there a way I can still get the language training? I knew a guy who was a 97B (non lange required MOS who had gone to DLI).
Could I reenlist for it (option 3)? I know I would be reenlisting within 90 days after I left Huachuca, so would I be able to do that?

No, when you reenlist after you graduate, you'll be reenlisting for Option 1, Regular Army (aka, the needs of the Army)

It's YOUR career! Take control of it before someone else does.

You're very unlikely to get a language. As you know, they have suspended the language requirements anyhow, which will be reevaluated each year.
