On a regular basis, whats a typical day like in the life of an Active Duty Soldier. Obviously this depends upon the soldier's occupation but in a general sense how is a typical day run?
Also, are there a lot of positive influences in the Army or do most of the Soldiers complain about life there? I've read a discussion about wanting to get out of the Army and I'm not in it yet but don't want to be disappointed. Maybe I should just try it out but it really worth it to go in the first place? Me personally i love it. Im a 19D which is a scout and all we do is 2 hours of pt in the morning and then play with weapons and train on battle focused stuff. I have no idea about non combat arms mos's. ive been in for 4 years, i love it,and its an easy paycheck, and fun to earn. I think the benefits are good, especialy health care, its all free, even for your spouse and kids. If you have a kid while your in, no cost to you. Anyways its not bad, its all what you make of it, and what you chose to do.

I'm in a support MOS. I do PT in the mornings, then work on computers all day. I love it. Just don't get a job you won't like. If you hate kitchens, don't be a cook. If you hate the outdoors, get a desk type job. If you hate being stationary, go combat arms. There are enough choices that there really is something for everybody, as long as they are willing to put forth effort.

HAHA Your so right SSG Prophet, however I hate people lol I went MP and now they made me a DS.. I did however love the MP job when I was able to do it. Ahh the memories of catching people doing stupid stuff then watching them cry while they wait for their 1SG or Commander at 0200 in the morning on a Saturday.
Complaining seems to be the Army's official pastime. Some of it is legit, but all in all the Army is a pretty sweet gig. I think people these days are generally spoiled, and overreact when things exactly how they want.
I've been in 11 years now; I can't tell you how many times I was dead set on getting out.
Typical day back when I was a grunt was training and/or maintenance. Take the Bradleys and rifles out to the woods, get them dirty, play Army. Then bring it all back, clean it up, fix what we broke. This was interrupted from time to time with outside details (maintaining the grounds, attending ceremonies and the like) and the occasional operational requirement (installation security, overseas deployments).
