I am a SSG with 5 years in service. I am looking at the BEAR program to reclass to a 35 series. Mainly looking at 35L. Could any of you give me info on this, most likely stations, and general overview of job. Most importantly if you like it. I have had a trip to Iraq and now half way through my Afghanistan trip and looking for something else to do.

I'm in the same boat. Though I cannot tell you what the job details are because I have only been accepted and not to school yet, I can say you have to go through an application process. I am near Drum so I went through a MI group there. I am sure your base or one close by should have a MI unit or group that can put together the packet for you. Worse case, you could call the 35L branch and find out where you can go for the packet and interview. Its a little more than a packet, there are about three interviews you have to go through. Thats why you have to find an MI unit. You will need a copy of your last three, maybe more, NCOER's, a 4187 with a special blurb that they will give you, and a few other things that they will outline for you. I would start updateing your SF86 for a TS also. Hope this helps get you started.
