Hey everybody...I just re-upped last week for re-class out of this hell I call 98H to head over to 96B i requested Fort Hood. Was just wondering if any other 96B are on here that could tell me a little about the units. I will be E-5 in a few weeks. I requested Hood so i can head back over to Iraq and hopefully take a spot from some one who dreads going. I have been over there already during the war. I am currently in Korea. Well I gotta keep studying for this board. Hope to hear from some of you. Thanks

As a 96B you can go to any unit and work at the S2 or go to Corps and work G2. There's also the 15th MI, that's were I was stationed...and there's a chance you could be working there too. I know my branch manager can actually tell me the exact unit I will go to, why don't you call?

I would call but it will be awhile before I actually get out of Korea and head back for re-training. I dont leave here till March of 06 due to class date being full. Was just trying to get an idea of of what people think of Ft Hood in gerneral.

The post was huge and Kileen wasn't too bad. They have thunderstorms out the A** out there. I didn't stay on post too much just did my job and when I was off I was at my apartment off post. The mall out there is much bigger than at Sierra Vista or Fayetteville. I was only at Hood for a year the same amount of time I was at Bliss.

I was at Hood for 5 years total. It's not too bad, you can find things to do. Austin is one hour south and Waco is one hour north. Dallas is three hours north, Houston and San Antonio about three hours south.
And the mall in Temple (about 30-40 minutes away) is larger than the Killeen mall.
