I am Thinking about re-uping for Carson and K9 School. Is there anyone here who has been to carson and/or also K9 there. How are the units and the Post...I have heard good things from Carson but just seeing what everyone else thinks.

I've never been to Carson, but I've also heard good things, about the post and the unit. So that makes two of us...

I'm thinking about re-upping for K9 too. Either that or go Green to Gold, and get that officer pay...my sister downplays it, but I'm not fooled Wink.

Yeah, it is a company or so of Puerto Rico NG. And they have some weird ideas of how to run things. Way different than things were before the deployment. Waiting for one of them to get lipp with the CG

We're leaving? I'm in the only active MP unit still here (Carson), and all we're doing is training. The NG came in because we are still really short after deplyment. If you know anything about us getting deployed, pass it along, please.

I'm in thet 59th MP CO, been here for 5 years. My old Squad Leader was K9 here, he loved it. All the K9 people here seem to like it, we don't really see them much, unless we are working law enforcement. If you're coming to K9, you'll be going to the 148th MP DET. As far as I know, they've never deployed, but expect to possibly get pulled into the 59th if and when we deploy to make up for personnel shortages. As far as I know, we're not leaving until '08.

Was this at the PMO or the company offices? Generally the PMO doesn't really know what's going on with the line units.

RFrampton... you've just experienced MP lesson #1:

It's called, "Desk Sergeants have sad, lonely lives."

The MP Corps is worse than junior high. Any MP will tell you that within the first hour of the first word of potential deployment, the story will have been blown to extreme proportions.

C'mon, I've worked RTO before. I've never heard so many stories and rumors in my life. And from E-6's and 7's!
