I graduated basic from FLW in August and I am due to go back to AIT at FLW May of this year as I am split-op. I was curious as to what I should expect when it comes to treatment of split-ops and whether or not AIT is any better than basic?

Heck no, treated the same way throughout the whole thing? How long is both BCT and AIT? I know it's combined for MPs but I'm kinda curious...

For MPs, OSUT is 17 weeks long. 9 week Basic, 8 week AIT. And they treat you the same all the way through, if you go through the 795th MP Bn. The other training battalion, the 787th, is a little softer. You'll be put in with an OSUT class, so the Drill Sergeants aren't going to let up cuz you're just getting there. For the other trainees, it'll be same- old, same- old. Hopefully you've been keeping yourself in shape. When my class got 5 split- ops, 4 of them failed thier first PT test, and miseribly too. Depending on the company, you'll get more priveleges at different rates. If you go Delta 795, you won't get your cell phone back until the day before you graduate.
